Your journey with Rising Star Montessori Academy will begin with a tour of our entire campus, to include all indoor and outdoor areas of the school. You will have the opportunity to meet our Montessori Certified Lead Teachers during your visit, and they will take some time to discuss the equipment, academic areas, expectations and more. Tours are scheduled on a bi-weekly basis, and they will need to be directly coordinated with our Administrator in advance.
Following your tour, the next step is to complete and submit a Pre-Registration Form. If there are no spaces available for the desired program start date when the form is submitted, your child will be placed on our waitlist and will have an opportunity to undergo an assessment when a space becomes available in the respective Program.
Our Open Enrollment period for the upcoming school year takes place from March 1 to March 31. Beginning in April, we will begin to contact all of our waitlisted families to schedule assessments, parent interviews and ultimately, send out acceptance letters for admissions. Please keep in mind that this process can take several weeks and your child may be called in for their assessment during the summer months, depending upon the volume of prospective students on the waitlist that require assessment.
Once all children have been assessed, the Lead Teachers will meet with the Director to choose the top candidates at each level to move to the next stage of the process. A parent interview is scheduled between the Director and the prospective student's parents/guardians, which usually lasts 30-45 minutes. Once a determination has been made, a letter will be sent to the family via email informing them of the outcome.
